While living with roommates can be exciting and fun, sometimes it would be nice if they came with an “ON/OFF” switch.
“ON/OFF” is a white noise speaker which, when turned “ON” starts to generate a selection of white noise, which helps you sleep.
Before I came to this final idea, I had a couple of initial ideas, which are listed below. All of them are based around the idea of blocking out sound.
Ideation
After deciding on my final idea, I started to prototype how the object would work, for example, what the angle of the end of the triangle should be, how sharp the edge should be, and what size the speaker should be.
Prototyping
My final design is based on a clean minimalist look, something that can be set on your bedside table while easily blending in.
